The Wedding Styling Trends We’re Loving in Yorkshire for 2026

Introduction

A new year brings a whole new wave of wedding styling inspiration and 2026 is shaping up to be one of our favourite years yet. At Shindig, we’ve been busy styling weddings across Yorkshire since 2016, and every season we notice shifts in what couples are drawn to. This year it’s all about warmth, texture, personality and a little bit of drama. Here are the trends we’re most excited about right now.

1. The wedding styling trends Yorkshire brides are loving in 2026: Warm, earthy tones are having a moment

Crisp white and blush pink will always be classics, but 2026 is the year of terracotta, burnt amber, warm caramel and deep rust. These tones look absolutely beautiful in Yorkshire’s countryside venues, barns and country houses, and they work just as well with fresh florals as they do with our faux floral designs.

Think dried pampas, warm-toned roses, copper candle holders and earthy table linen. If you’re getting married in autumn especially, this palette is made for you.

2. Mixing fresh and faux flowers

One of the biggest changes we’ve seen recently is couples choosing to combine fresh and artificial flowers to get the most from their budget.

A faux floral arch or ceremony backdrop, which can be reused across your venue, paired with fresh seasonal flowers for your bouquets and table centrepieces is a wonderful way to create maximum impact without blowing the budget.

At Shindig, we create all our faux floral pieces to order, so they’re always made to match your exact colour palette and style. No generic, off-the-shelf designs here.

3. Candlelight, candelabra and all things moody

We are absolutely here for the return of drama. Whether it’s tall taper candles in mismatched candlesticks, sweeping candelabra down a long banquet table, or clusters of pillar candles in varying heights, candlelight creates an atmosphere that no other styling element can match.

It works beautifully for evening receptions and pairs brilliantly with moody floral tones like deep plum, burgundy, midnight blue and forest green. We have hundreds of candle holders, candlesticks and candelabra available to hire, so it’s easy to create this look with us.

4. Personalised stationery and signage

Couples are increasingly using their wedding stationery as a styling element in its own right. A beautiful welcome sign at the venue entrance, an elegant seating plan display, personalised table names that reflect your story or your favourite places , these little details make a huge difference and help your day feel completely unique.

We provide all your on-the-day stationery at Shindig, from welcome signs to table plans and place names. It’s one less supplier to manage and means everything is perfectly coordinated.

5. Relaxed, garden-party vibes for outdoor ceremonies

Outdoor ceremonies and al fresco receptions are more popular than ever, and the styling that goes with them is delightfully relaxed. Think flowing fabric chair drapes in soft neutrals, meadow-style floral arrangements, lanterns and loose, natural textures. We love creating this kind of look because it feels effortless but is actually incredibly carefully put together.

Which trends feel like you?

The best wedding styling isn’t about following trends, it’s about finding the ideas that feel genuinely like you and your partner. That’s exactly what we help you do at Shindig.

Come and visit us at our Selby studio for a free consultation and let’s work out which of these trends, or which combination of them, will make your day feel completely perfect.
